How do our orthopedic insoles work?
Dr.Worker insoles provide natural support. Insoles for flat feet or fallen arches help maintain proper spinal alignment during heavy work, support the feet, and help realign the pelvis.

Developed by experts
Our orthopedic insoles were developed in collaboration with the experts at the Back Expertise Center
At these centers, they measure the difference made by the insoles. Time and again, people are amazed by the results.
The position of the feet has a significant effect on the pelvis and, consequently, the rest of the body.
Poor footwear places an asymmetrical load on the spine because one half of the pelvis is subjected to more strain than the other.
The pelvis is in urgent need of greater relaxation; our orthopedic insoles tilt the heel bone, which relieves pressure on the hips.
Our own physiotherapist explains how it works:

Natural support
Orthotic insoles for people with fallen arches or flat feet are designed to help. This is due to the shape of the insoles, which support the feet naturally.
Everything you want to know.
The insoles are ergonomically designed to follow the natural shape of your feet. On the one hand, this relaxes your feet, while on the other, it provides substantial support for your knees, hips, and spine. In other words, the arch support helps distribute your weight across your feet, creating more symmetrical pressure on your spine. That’s why we also call these insoles “insoles for lower back pain.”
Absolutely, that's what makes them so convenient. The insoles are designed for all shoes and have a universal effect. Convenient, right!
For work shoe insoles, we recommend replacing them every 6 months. If worn for too long, the insole may no longer provide the desired support.
The insoles are made to fit every shoe and are therefore suitable for everyone. If you have employees who suffer from back pain, we’d be happy to help. You can purchase packages from us for all your employees. The insole can also be worn in a work shoe!
This may certainly be the case. During the first 7 to 10 days, you may experience some muscle soreness in, for example, your calves, hamstrings, or lower back. The average break-in period for our insoles is two weeks.
Would you like to keep your insoles clean? We recommend always washing them by hand and allowing them to air-dry naturally.
Rein-Jan Elenbaas has been a physiotherapist for many years and developed the Dr.Worker insole. As a physiotherapist, he has treated many different complaints. He is particularly interested in chronic, nonspecific leg and back pain. These are mainly complaints that have existed for years without a clear cause. Rein-Jan kept receiving complaints that many patients’ feet were not properly aligned. This has a significant effect on the position of the pelvis. A tilted pelvis can have many negative effects, including mechanical problems in the back and reduced blood flow and nerve supply to the legs.
Rein-Jan saw these problems and began researching them. He worked with a team of experts, and that is how the Dr.Worker support insoles came about. We can already hear you thinking, “But what makes them different?” Rein-Jan naturally gave this a great deal of thought. With many insoles, you will notice that there is no padding underneath the insole. The padding is intended to apply pressure to the feet and help return the pelvis to its original position. Dr.Worker support insoles do contain padding.
What do we do as physiotherapists?
Sometimes, when people are very young or, more often, when they are older, something happens that requires us physiotherapists to get to work:
we tape a sprained ankle.
we loosen a back that has seized up.
we strengthen a shoulder that has dislocated again.
But what exactly happens in the body?
The body remains upright due to the shape of our bones and joints, together with the muscular force closure. However, our bodies do not respond well to stress—and modern society is full of it. People demand too much of themselves when it comes to family, sports, work, staying healthy, and, of course, COVID-19, which has affected us all. That is why the body needs an even distribution of body weight, across both feet. Dr. Worker is naturally for everyone, but many people suffer from fallen arches or flat feet. But what exactly does this mean? With a fallen arch, you experience a sharp, burning pain underneath and above the ball of your foot. Flat feet really do live up to their name. Your foot needs a certain arch to prevent problems in the feet, knees, hips, arch, calves, and lower back.
Development of the Dr. Worker insoles
In collaboration with an insole manufacturer, Rein-Jan developed these supportive insoles. Many insoles are made of foam or leather. The secret of Dr.Worker insoles lies in their naturally shaped yet ergonomic plastic cup. This ensures that the feet are loaded and relieved in the right way. On the one hand, the insoles provide substantial support in the right places, while subtly distributing pressure across the foot. The insoles therefore help reduce lower back pain. Dr.Worker insoles encourage the feet to distribute weight correctly, thereby reducing strain on the pelvis and resulting in less muscle pain and fewer tired legs and feet.
We at Dr.Worker are always here for you. Are you ready to take care of yourself?
